This blog is here by the divine grace of 2 people meeting on the internet in January 2002. One is a misplaced Texan the other a misplaced Icelander. They now happily reside in Park Slope, Brooklyn, which some old school Brooklynites refer to as “Not Brooklyn” and had their first child, a son, in March 2006. He’s half Texan, half Icelandic, half black, half white but all American.

So . . . since the extended families of the little one are far far far apart (Forth Worth, Texas and Reykjavik, Iceland are just about equal distance away from New York) this little site could perhaps be a venue for all of them to be involved.
